If I Could Pick My Voice

... I'd probably pick Eileen Farrell's.

She also did Wagner ... go figure.

And, like any good mid-twentieth century opera singer, she didn't limit herself to opera ...

Nice voice, although I think I prefer a slightly lighter sound. How did you run across her?

I've known about her for a while--she did the vocals for Interrupted Melody (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interrupted_Melody)--you probably didn't see that with us though--I think it was a girl's movie night. And then I was looking for a particular Bach piece on YouTube, and saw her name, and started listening.
